01 The first Jade
A grey-brown, long-haired Persian: a round, flat face and a tail like a plume. The app was made for him first. His silhouette is the icon.
The story
Made for one cat. Now for yours.
Before Jade was an app, Jade was a cat. He still is.
The name’s Jade. As in the stone.
02 Why jade
玉 is worn against the skin and grows better the longer it’s kept. So Jade has one colour, celadon, the glaze first fired to imitate jade. The rest is paper and pale ink.
03 Now, yours
Add your cat and the app becomes theirs: the name, the look, the voice. Jade goes back to where he started, in the icon and in this story.
Keep your cat close, like jade.
